1. Purpose

This book provides a step-by-step introduction on how to perform several common tasks within SCURTY, the Security Framework for the Oracle Database. The tasks outlined here include configuration of basic settings after installation, providing fine-grained object- and data-access and the definition of sensitive data with or without the use of data redaction (masking).
